Here’s exactly how it works:
Step 1 – PREP
(approx. 2.5 minutes)
- File the ends of your nails so they are smooth and an even length. To avoid damaging your nails, move the nail file in one direction rather than sawing it back and forth.
- Gently push back your cuticles with a cuticle pusher
- With the soft, spongey side of your nail file, gently buff the surface of your nails. This helps to remove any oils that might be on your nails
- Wipe your nails with a cleanser packet and then allow them to dry for about 30 seconds. I use one packet for all 10 fingers.
Step 2 – ROLL
(approx. 5 seconds)
Roll the bottle of gel polish gently between your hands to mix the polish.
You don’t have to be quick or aggressive. Just roll it instead of shaking because shaking the bottle can cause tiny air bubbles to form.
If you gently roll the bottle, then you shouldn’t end up with tiny air bubbles on your nails and your manicure will be smooth.
Step 3 – POLISH
(approx. 2 minutes total)
Apply the gel polish in a thin, even coat.
Just paint 2 nails at a time before curing to avoid accidentally smudging the polish.
Avoid getting the polish on your cuticles or your skin. If you do, then carefully wipe it off before curing.
It’s seriously as easy as just using the color that you want. Since GelMoment gel polishes don’t need a base coat or a top coat, then actually applying the polish is just this one step.
Step 4 – CURE
(5 minutes total)
GelMoment polish is made specifically to cure with the GelMoment LED lamps.
They use the correct wattage for the formula and are set on a timer so the lamp will automatically turn off at the right time once your gel polish has fully cured.
So just put your freshly polished nails under the lamp, push the button, and wait for the light to turn back off.
If you would like to do another coat, then repeat steps 3 and 4.
And that’s it!
Once your nails have cured, then the gel polish won’t smudge or move around at all. You’re all done!
WIth the GelMoment formula, you won’t have to wipe off a tacky layer or anything like that. So you can literally go straight from doing your nails to pretty much anything that you could want to do next. And you won’t have to worry about ruining your brand new manicure!
Pretty easy, right?
